Published World of Antiques and Art February – August 2012. Investigates the case maker to the Tompion longcase clock movement believed to have been brought to Tasmania in 1834 possibly by the Mercer family of Dryden House, Lasswade, Edinburgh. Damaged in transit, I suggest that a new case was made by Edward Augustus Wilson the American political convict.
